pitchin net

pitchin net
a large triangular net attached to two poles, and used with a boat to catch salmon. The boats are flat-bottomed, about seventeen feet long, about four feet and a half wide, and pointed at both ends. They can easily be managed by one person and rarely overturn (English dialect)
